AHEAD supports academics and brings to the public a rolling programme of events and collaborations on a range of topics, disciplines and research areas from across the faculty and throughout the year .They are experts in how arts, humanities, and social sciences address modern challenges and make a positive impact on society.

Starring Matt Smith (Dr Who) and Morfydd Clark (Lord of the Rings), Lecturer in Creative Writing Andrew Hurley’s Starve Acre – about to be brought to the big screen by BFI Distribution - sees a family’s seemingly idyllic rural life thrown into turmoil when their young son starts acting out of character.
