The Cost of Us”, a thought-provoking short film, created by women from Trafford, exploring the impact of the cost of living crisis on women of all ages. Screenings were held in Partington, Stretford and Whalley Range in July 2025.

Across June 2025 enJOY arts, in partnership with Emerald LENS and SODA  (School of Digital Arts), held 3 screenings of “The Cost of Us”, a thought-provoking short film, created by women from Trafford, exploring the impact of the cost of living crisis on women of all ages.

The women who we made this film with range in age from their 20’s through to their 90’s, they shared their own experiences and stories as part of the creative process, helping to develop ideas and create the film.

Following the screenings we held creative discussions around the themes and topics raised in the film, providing opportunities for participants to share their views, any advice they might have and to think about their ‘Call to Action’ to bring about change.

5 Minute Watch : How did the audiences respond?
